04 Apr Eaton Cooper Lighting business – the SOURCE
Last week was very exciting and informative. A small group at Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) along with Donnie Chapman of Chesapeake Lighting, Dave Levine of CapitalTristate and Bart Mueller of US Facilities Inc. traveled to Peachtree, Georgia to the Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business headquarters where the latest in LED optics technology is designed and tested. Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business was gracious enough to provide private classes to our group on all their lighting products, LED technology in general, controls, and where our industry is headed.
Part of the day was spent touring Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business’s high tech development, testing, and production facilities. Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business has some very cool products hitting the market this year. It was very interesting to see the testing required before an LED chip or driver receives approval by Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business. Extreme heat, cold, and vibration are but a few of the required tests. New fixture designs are brought to life using 3-D printers and a shop full of metal working equipment.
Mark Eubanks, (president, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division) and other key Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business executives met with LMI to discuss areas where the two companies could work together, bring each other business, and promote education in the field of lighting, it will be very exciting times ahead. “We were honored to host and collaborate with the Lighting Maintenance Incorporated team at the SOURCE educational center,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division. “LMI is dedicated to educating its customers and the community on the latest energy-efficient LED lighting solutions to help meet their performance and sustainable goals. We look forward to assisting in LMI’s continued growth and success.”
LMI’s team especially appreciated the time we were able to spend with Dave Levine of CapitalTristate. We were able to brainstorm several new ways the two companies can go to market in LMI’s current footprint.
CapitalTristate and Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business will be assisting LMI on our statewide VDOT LED project as well as many others. Both CapitalTristate and Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business are committed to LMI’s growth and success, both are LMI preferred vendors.
