Lighting Maintenance Inc recently replaced corroded poles and completed an LED upgrade in Damascus, Maryland. Salt, age, and harsh weather had deteriorated many light poles in Damascus, causing several to fall over in high winds. Our crews tested the remaining poles and determined an additional 40+ poles were in danger of falling. While performing the LED upgrade, the remaining structurally compromised poles were replaced.
The Town of Damascus was more than ready to upgrade their street lighting. Working with Montgomery County, they directed Lighting Maintenance to provide and install 126 cobrahead fixtures. The improvement in lighting is amazing while at the same time reducing the energy consumption. We believe the streets will be much safer for pedestrians and motorists alike with the new white light.
