We were contacted by the City of Richmond, Virginia to make repairs to dozens of light pole foundations throughout the city in preparation for an international bike race, the UCI Road World Championships, which was held over 9 days.
There were more than 450,000 people enjoying the race, both tourists and local Richmonders, which gave Richmond the opportunity to take care of things that would benefit the city and that needed to be done anyway. The goal was to beautify the city and make it look better than ever to keep tourists returning and increase revenue over all. Although we are only did street foundations, we were taking part in a $2.6 million effort to do some much needed repairs that would be seen by thousands.
Lighting Maintenance Inc. is proud to be a part of this movement to improve the City of Richmond and prepare for one of the great, global sporting events. Read more regarding the UCI Road World Championship here.
