In October 2017 Crews from LMI’s Nova office replaced navigation lights on the Route 1 Bridge over the Occoquan River for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Our crews were lowered to the lights from a specialized piece of equipment called a “snooper truck”. A snooper truck is parked on top of a bridge and is constructed and designed to lower its man basket below the bridge. Basically the exact opposite of a bucket truck which elevated workers. LMI crews spent the majority of the day making repairs to ensure the bridge would remain visible.
