UNC Dean Dome –
LMI was contracted by Musco to complete a lighting upgrade at the UNC Dean Smith Center under a very tight deadline. This was one of the first projects LMI performed in the state of North Carolina.
The work included removal of 92 existing fixtures and 23 enclosures, installation of 112 new fixtures and 23 new enclosures, and replacement of contactor cabinets and touchscreen show-light controllers. LMI also installed Beam Brush RGB laser floor displays and Maverick Storm laser effects, using pulley systems to hoist fixtures, and removed old fixtures from catwalk areas that other contractors were unable to access.
